Vive Hotel Waikiki

I loved my 10 day solo stay at Vive. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were lovely, and the area is easy to get around on foot with lots of great food choices. The street below can be loud, so it was fine not to have a balcony. My windows looked out over the beach. I needed to work, and Vive had a full size desk, which makes all the difference for digital nomads used to making do with a flimsy little round bistro table. The room was a good size, and my Jr Suite had two AC units and a mini fridge. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower and eco friendly bath products. Breakfast was generous and a step up from a typical “buffet line.” There are 22 floors and 2 elevators, but I never waited more than about 30 seconds. Good coffee was kept fresh and hot around the clock, which really helped while I worked NY hours. I followed the advice not to leave open food, drinks, or packaging in the room. I ate meals out or in the first floor common area, kept nothing in the room, and had an entirely bug free stay. The bed was a bit soft but not saggy. I'll stay at Vive again in a heartbeat.

The rooms and beds were really comfortable, though a heads up, the window AC units are loud, and so is the street noise if you're sensitive to that. Staff were all friendly and kind. Shout out to Princess and Marshall at the front desk for being excellent. The location is excellent, breakfast is great, and you can borrow beach towels, chairs, and other items. There are also water refill stations. I'd highly recommend signing up as a rewards member for free extra amenities. I'd definitely stay there again next time!

The beach was close enough to walk to in under five minutes, and we had all the gear we needed to enjoy the water and sun. Breakfast each morning was a lovely start, and our cozy room had everything we needed. Everyone we met was wonderful, from Roger welcoming us at check-in to ARNEL, our fantastic valet who parked our Jeep, and Arnel, Richard, and Tyler helping us with the car throughout the stay. The staff took care of our requests quickly. We’re so grateful they made our first Oahu trip the best of our lives. Much love to Vive Hotel Waikiki. Hope to see you again soon. Mahalo!

The staff really made our four-night stay at Vive. They welcomed us with pineapple juice and upgraded our room, and everyone was great. Our room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. We also appreciated the free beach kit: towels, boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, and tote bags. The location worked well, with Waikiki Beach about a five-minute walk away and restaurants close by. Booking on the hotel website came with no hidden fees. Making an account there gets you half off valet parking, a free room upgrade when one is available, and an extra hour at checkout. We’d happily stay again when we’re back in Honolulu.
