The first night was fine, but we woke up to the smell of weed again. My wife and I were there with our children, ages 7 and 2, and the smell was coming into our room. I saw that the dispensary next door shared ventilation with it. That may be a nice feature for some, but not with little kids. We'd initially liked the place: it was clean and new, we had a large bunk room to ourselves, the price was reasonable for a family, and breakfast was included. I spoke with the owners, who were very nice, but all they could do was try to cover the smell with Febreze and candles. They said they'd dealt with it, but it was still there when we woke. They agreed to refund the second night so we could stay elsewhere, then didn't follow through. I'm very disappointed by their dishonesty. Don't stay here with little children.

Lorena was so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful breakfast on the terrace, with an awesome view of Mt. Adams. Check-in was easy, and the place was easy to find. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and low-key, with lots of self-service options that we enjoyed. We'd definitely stay again. Thank you, Lorena!

My girlfriend and I had a great time. The dorms were very clean, and Tim was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was nicely laid out with care. I'd suggest adding hand-drying towels in the bathrooms and freshening up the hallways a little.

A good location and the best deal in Hood River. The owner was very helpful, and parking felt safe. I've stayed in the hostel several times and will probably be back many more. It's good for a skier who wants to sleep like a log for 10 hours before heading back up to Mt. Hood.

I was scrambling after a booking through a camping website fell through, but they had a vacancy and took me right away. My single room with a queen bed was perfect, clean, and had a bed that was soooo comfortable, maybe memory foam. The bathrooms were clean too, and they provided a continental breakfast in the morning. I'd come back and recommend it to budget travelers looking for a place to crash.
