We visited in early March, when it was cold and rainy, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor seating much. The lush green garden has picnic seating with a lovely Columbia River view, and it would be wonderful to sit out there in late spring or summer. Our large suite had huge windows looking out at the river and a fully loaded kitchenette. The place is older and rustic, but very clean, and the rooms are hard to beat for the price. We’d definitely return.

We had a comfortable bed and pillows, and enjoyed our room’s view of the Columbia River. We took a little walk around the grounds before sunset and met some really friendly people. There were board games available, though we ran out of time to play and wished we hadn’t.

This family-owned motel has been around since the 1950s and has been lovingly maintained and expanded. The grounds are pretty, with flowers, picnic tables, and a dog-walking area, and our room was spacious. Staff were friendly and courteous, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, something many places stopped doing after Covid. They also provided thoughtful extras: a bottle/wine opener, wine glasses, nice toiletries, tissues at each bedside table, a microwave, and a refrigerator. We had a beautiful Columbia River view from the balcony. It was too chilly to stay out there long, but the high-top table and chairs by the window gave us a fantastic view indoors. I highly recommend it.

It’s right by the Columbia River, with a lovely view and a little trail leading to beautiful scenery. The price was great, and everything Hood River has to offer is about five minutes away. We’ll definitely come back :)

We needed two rooms at the last minute while driving through Hood River, and I’m so glad this highly recommended place had space. The accommodations were updated, very clean, and a great value for the room, with excellent service. The housekeepers clearly take pride in their work. We also loved the rain heads in the updated bathrooms. Thanks to the WestCliff Team!
