Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham/280 East-Eagle Point

We’re staying here now with my husband, whose booking was under shelton, and the experience has been awful. We checked in yesterday at 4 pm, but our room wasn’t ready, so we switched rooms. The one we got was dirty, including the shower, and had conditioner but no soap or shampoo. After I asked three times for shampoo, my husband went downstairs and got it himself. The customer service has been terrible, and nobody seems able to communicate with guests. We booked two nights, arriving Saturday, and later found ourselves completely locked out of the room we paid for. It took several tries before someone finally came down to let us in. We’re Hilton Honors members, but that seems worthless. We will never stay with Hilton again. If I could give zero stars, I would. I know this review may only help the public decide whether to stay, since Hilton doesn’t care.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable, the service was great, and the staff were amazingly wonderful. Thank you all for being there when we needed help. We loved staying here, and if more than five stars were possible, I’d give them.

Kevin welcomed us warmly at check-in and happily rearranged things so we could have a handicap room. The room was spacious, and the two-day stay was a pleasure. Breakfast was fabulous both mornings, and the dining area felt roomy instead of cramped like ones at other hotels. Staff helped whenever we needed something. Our events were only a few minutes away by car. Many stars!

The bed was wonderful to sleep in, and the room was clean and comfortable. The women at the front desk were so friendly and accommodating. I’ll keep recommending this place to others!
