Homewood Suites By Hilton Hoover Birmingham

The daytime desk staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful, and the room was nice. Breakfast was adequate. But at over $200 a night, I expected more from the service. The night clerk said bedding is changed every three days, which is fine, but I also asked for the bed to be made and used towels picked up. We were going out for several hours and requested fresh towels; nothing had been done by the time we got back. I went down again, asked for towels, and carried them up myself. Another guest on the way to my room said she'd had the same problem with room service and towels. We usually leave a tip, but after that I wasn't sure what we'd be tipping for.

We had a relaxing evening playing cornhole on the patio, even though I lost, then grabbed a drink at the bar before turning in. The front desk service was a real standout: everyone was friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome. The room had beautiful views, lots of space, a washer and dryer, and a full kitchen with elegant cabinets and what looked like a full-size fridge. The electronic curtains were a nice modern feature, and the bathroom was especially large and well laid out. I had a wonderful stay at Homewood Suites and would recommend it for comfort and convenience.

The gym is amazing, and we’re excited to stay here. Check-in was handled by a super friendly staff, and the room has a beautiful view, lots of clothing storage, and a spacious kitchen area with a great island table. The furnishings in this new build look so modern and updated. We stay at Hilton often, and Homewood properties can sometimes feel older, so the newness here was a big plus.

The location worked out really well, with restaurants and shops easy to reach on foot and the Hoover Sports Complex about a mile away. Our rooms were ready early, and the king suite was comfortable. Karen greeted us warmly when we arrived, and Miranda at the evening desk was very kind and accommodating. The hotel is fairly new, and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We'd definitely recommend it.
