I was watching a movie in my room when a cockroach darted across the wall. I got up to switch on the light, and the switch turned off the TV instead. The faucet blasts out a narrow, high-pressure stream that splashes all over. Even with the shower turned all the way to hot, the water barely gets above room temperature. There’s trash scattered around, neglected landscaping, and mud on the sidewalks. The coffee was good, at least. Motel 6 used to be a dependable budget option, but this place seems to have no standards or oversight. Just a roach and a TV wired to the light switch. Tom Bodet would be rolling in his grave...

The room was fresh smelling and clean, and the grounds were tidy too. There's a Walgreens right next door, plus several different places to eat nearby. Great location.

Every time I called to reserve a room, they quoted me a different price. I ended up booking at the Redroof instead. I won't give my business to people with poor work ethics. I was glad to pay the $77 at Redroof, where they were polite and didn't hang up on me.

The pet policy was a nice surprise: up to two pets, 150 pounds combined, with no added fee. The room itself was clean, fairly roomy, and cooler than outdoors, but the AC was loud and kept cycling without getting the temperature comfortable. We managed to sleep, though I woke up a few times overheated when the unit kicked off and on. The toilet was difficult to flush properly. There was also a strange smell in the room, and the hallway smelled awful even though we were in a non-smoking area.

There’s a Walgreens next door and a restaurant across the street. The young man at the front desk was very professional. They had a kettle for breakfast, and the parking lot was big enough for hot shot parking.
