Best Western Plus Downtown Inn & Suites

I planned a relaxing Valentine’s weekend around the hot tub and heated pool because my husband is a military captain and is often away for a long time. We were finally back in the same state, and I booked this hotel based on the amenities and great reviews. The front desk woman told me after check-in was finalized that the hot tub was broken. She said the pool was open, but when we went down, it was locked. I know that wasn’t her fault, but it was disappointing. We’d been talking about becoming Best Western Plus members, and this made the trip feel wasted. Instead of relaxing at the hotel, we had to go find something else to do. I paid $300 for one night and basically just slept in a bed. I was also frustrated to learn there was a parking fee. There was no notice before or after I booked, and I already felt parking should be included with the hotel stay.

I’d definitely recommend this property and stay here again. Best Western Plus, Dallas Street in Houston,Texas was perfectly located for everything I did, and I wasn’t far from any place of interest. The rooms were spacious and clean. I liked the security, the parking was reasonably priced, and the pool area looked inviting. The jacuzzi was hot. Highly recommend it.

The location and price made this stay well worth it, especially after our first hotel turned out to be a terrible choice and experience. The room was nice, and the beds were clean and comfortable. Parking was a little tight but manageable. I should’ve known better than to pick a BW property the first time.

Check-in went smoothly, and the room was very clean. There were plenty of extra parking spaces, so I don’t see why parking costs extra. Breakfast wasn’t great: some items ran out early and weren’t replenished, and the eggs and hash browns were cold on one of the days.
