We tried the bar and, OMG, the food was amazing. DJ was welcoming, professional, and attentive, got our food to us promptly, and checked that everything was right. The lobby water and candy were a lovely surprise, too. Our weekend went smoothly from easy check-in to easy checkout, and the room was clean and comfortable. A wonderful stay and excellent service. The room was amazing, the service was great, and the staff were friendly. They even upgraded us to a room with an amazing view, and we loved the pancakes from room service. My husband and I stayed during Christmas week, and things were good until Christmas night, when our neighbors were vaping heavily or something similar. The smell reached our room. I contacted the manager, mindful that it was Christmas, and security came up to ask them to take their party elsewhere. Staff offered us another room, but we were leaving early for the airport, so we stayed put. Around 2 a.m. the neighbors returned and shouted aggressively nonstop. I felt unsafe and told staff I wanted to leave as soon as possible. It took about two hours for them to tell me it was safe to go. I wish we’d switched rooms the first time, especially since things turned violent afterward. Listening to them yell for two hours was awful, and I couldn’t sleep. The staff did their best, and I understand they may not be trained for this kind of situation, but safety and communication with other guests should be a priority. Maybe this is something to add to quality improvement. I’m giving everything five stars except for feeling unsafe, which wasn’t the hotel’s fault, though communication and prioritizing guest safety could definitely improve.

The view from the 19th floor was wonderful, and the hotel’s central location put us close to everything. Valet handled our vehicle well. Kayla is the reason our experience was so good. She deserves to be a manager, or promoted ahead of her peers. The person who checked us in didn’t explain much, but Kayla sorted out a room upgrade, our credit, the parking situation, and more in ten minutes before her overnight shift ended. She even stayed late to make sure we were all set. It’s a shame she only works nights. Thanks, K! We had an amazing experience for my wife’s birthday.

Room service is wildly overpriced, so I’d order DoorDash instead. The location is fantastic, you can walk around easily, and a shuttle goes to most downtown spots. Breakfast was really good, though. I’d also have liked more guidance at check-in: when breakfast ends, what Hilton Honors or Hotel Collection benefits come with the stay, and where to find the elevator. I was handed keys and felt silly asking questions. Staff can seem uninterested, but I found them warm when I was kind to them. I did have one bad check-in interaction, though being allowed to check in very early partly balanced it out. I was wary after reading reviews, but ended up having a great stay. Some people complain there’s no fridge, but there is a mini fridge built into a dresser drawer, so you have to pull it out. I don’t usually expect a microwave in a 4/5 star hotel, so I’m not sure why that’s such a big complaint. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in the summer.
