Comfort Inn & Suites Southwest Fwy at Westpark

I couldn’t sleep at all because of the noise and the strong marijuana smell throughout the building, especially in the very dirty hallways. The room itself was extremely dirty, and the mattresses were damaged and so uncomfortable that sleeping on them was impossible. I had a terrible experience last night and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We arrived at 7:00 PM and the air in the room was awful, with a putrid smell that bleach only partly covered. The room had broken doors and large areas of peeling paint. The bathroom was a biohazard, and the neglected shower was coated in rust and black mold. The mattress was stained with pee and what looked like cum, and had a powerful body odor. Roaches wandered around openly, including the bathroom counter and the bed. It was impossible to sit or sleep there. By around 3:00 AM, the sense of being unsafe and my anxiety had peaked. The hotel seemed to be under some kind of lockdown when we first arrived. We asked the front desk for a full refund, but Derek, the night clerk, was indifferent and refused to process it. He told us to wait until 6:00 AM for the manager. We left, booked a room at the Sonesta Hotel in the Galleria, and evacuated the place. I’d moved to Sonesta at the galleria by 4 am. This is the worst hotel experience of my life, and it’s a health hazard and a disgrace to the Comfort Inn name. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. The place isn’t fit for people to stay in. See the pictures and avoid it at all costs. Letting guests sleep among roaches on stained mattresses is appalling. I wonder who gives this place any stars, maybe paid people out of state who’ve never visited? 0 Stars.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was better than I expected, and the hospitality was great. The front desk women were friendly and took their time with each guest. Staff helped me find things around the area and walked me through check-in. A big thank you to everyone. I’d highly recommend staying here.

During my two-week stay, Elvira, Greeny, and Nicole in the front office went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They made the place feel like home, and I appreciate them more than I can say. The rooms were clean, and they made sure I was happy. I highly recommend staying here.
