Comfort Inn & Suites Houston I-10 West Energy Corridor

The worst part happened around 10:30 or 11 at night. My daughter and I were watching TV when I heard something at the door. I muted the TV, checked the peephole, and saw a man in a blue shirt trying to open our door with a room key, his head at the corner of the door. Thank God I had the latch on. It was terrifying, and anything could have happened to me and my baby. The same front desk woman who had moved us between rooms knew we were in there. As I left because we didn't feel safe, she smiled and said she was sorry, but nobody did anything to protect us. Management or corporate still hasn't contacted me or refunded me. Before that, she gave me a key for a room where someone's things were in a clear bag near the door. When I entered, the door came off its hinges. She gave me another key, and when my baby and I walked into that room, there were clothes, food, cigarettes, shoes, and other belongings. I didn't know if anyone was in the bathroom, so I grabbed my baby and ran. Those are my three main reasons I will never stay or recommend this hotel again.

The room didn't seem ready for guests. There was remodeling underway, a dead roach where the trim should've been, holes in the wall where plates should be, and the shower door wouldn't stay closed, so water got all over the floor. The food was disgusting, and the front desk woman wasn't very friendly. It needs a lot more work, and I wouldn't stay again.

There's only one working elevator, and I haven't seen any sign they'll fix the other one. Getting clean towels is like pulling teeth, since rooms aren't being cleaned and they can't collect the used towels. This morning, the day after I first posted, I was greeted by another roach. If they'd take care of the trash, I wouldn't see their pet roaches roaming around my room. I've been here over a week, and the hot water has barely worked the whole time. A roach showed up at the desk in my room after the first night, so they moved me to a lower floor. Housekeeping has lied twice about cleaning our room. It's disheartening to get back from work and see the staff aren't doing their job. The front desk women have been pleasant, but housekeeping has let things down badly, and I'm going to ask my company to pay for a different hotel. The effort here has been overwhelming in the wrong way. I don't eat breakfast, but I've heard they regularly run out of things. It feels like they don't want to provide the included breakfast.

I've stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites in Katy, Texas twice now, and each time I've felt right at home. The lobby staff are kind and attentive, the rooms are spotless, and the whole hotel is clean. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast again. It keeps proving to be a comfortable, reliable place, and I'd recommend trying it for yourself. My stay at the Comfort Inn Energy Corridor in Katy, Texas was comfortable too. The hotel was quiet and clean, with spacious, well-kept rooms. It's close to restaurants and shops, with easy highway access, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks especially to Ángela, who was very kind and helpful.
