DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Intercontinental Airport

I stayed here for an extended visit, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. There’s a nice outdoor space, and I liked that the laundry machines take electronic payment. There are only two sets, though, which was a little inconvenient. The rooms felt musty most of the time. I can’t say enough good things about the staff.

Our flight from the origin was delayed by a mechanical problem, so we missed our connection and the airline sent us here for the night. From my first contact about the shuttle pickup, the team was helpful and supportive, which we really needed as two distressed travelers. They gave us combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and warm cookies. The beds, pillows, and bedding were perfect. The next morning my niece said it was the first time in years she hadn’t woken up with back pain from an earlier car accident. Thank you, Doubletree Houston Airport, for being so kind.

The front desk staff were nice when I checked in, but I won’t stay here again. At 4 AM I woke up and found my truck had been broken into. The thieves took the luggage we needed for our flight to NYC. The front desk staff on duty weren’t helpful. The security woman looked like she’d just woken up and did nothing to help. I saw her laughing as we left. Accidents happen, but security being no help at all was pathetic.

I stayed for two weeks and had flawless service from check-in through checkout. Breakfast at the restaurant each morning was good, and I never left hungry. My room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed, including a microwave, small fridge, and hair dryer. Michael and Randy at the front desk were super helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the Houston area.
