Four Points by Sheraton Houston - CITYCENTRE

The lobby looked really nice, but the room made that impression disappear fast. The tub drained so slowly that the water reached halfway up while I was showering, then took about an hour to empty. The faucet also had no clear off position. It took me a while to find the spot where it actually stopped dripping. This hotel badly needs renovation, and for the price, I was really disappointed.

The hotel was okay as a place to stay, and the lobby, bar, and breakfast areas were clean with a nice, neutral modern look. The rooms, hallways, and other sections seemed not to have been updated in a long time. Those parts were dark and a bit dingy, and the carpets, wallpaper, fixtures, decor, and bedding all looked dated and dirty.

I'm here often for business because the location works well. The rooms could use renovation, but the staff are always nice and consistent. I notice little turnover, which makes me think they must be happy working there. Gary is always at the bar when I stay, and I've come to expect seeing him. Great guy.

I stayed two nights for business, and if my employer hadn't been paying, I'd have looked elsewhere. The room had buckled carpet that smelled of mildew, a dead bug on the floor, and what looked like other insects on the bathroom floor. The shower's rounded curtain rod didn't match the rectangular catch basin, so showering soaked the bathroom floor. Maybe that's why the carpet was musty and buckling by the bathroom entrance. The TV took several attempts to turn on and show a picture. The room opened onto the pool area like a motel, beside a large metal door from the parking lot that slammed loudly and made sleep difficult. This hotel is badly in need of renovation. I'd suggest management address these problems, and anyone considering a stay look at nearby The Hotel Sorella instead if they can pay a little more for better rest and accommodations. Deeply disappointed.
