Hilton Houston Westchase

This place is old and past its best. My room smelled like old people, and there wasn't a single drinking glass in it. The hotel has been... I'm glad I'm only here for two nights.

The front desk said the kitchen could heat our restaurant leftovers, but that meant another trip downstairs and still felt like a hassle. We ended up walking to the Marriott next door to use a microwave. There isn't one anywhere in this hotel. A microwave in a shared area would have helped, and buying one would only cost about $100. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I won't be back.

I found a rodent in my room and got no urgent help after reporting it. Manager Roselby said there was nothing she could do because I booked through a third party, despite my Hilton Honors membership. A rodent in a guest room is a health and safety problem, and that response was insulting. Nobody took responsibility or tried to make things right. The staff came across as dismissive and selective about helping guests. The room itself was outdated, below par, and poorly maintained. This was the worst Hilton stay I've had, even though I've stayed at many. It was disgusting and unprofessional. I won't return, and I'd advise choosing another of the several Hilton properties nearby. Zero stars.

Breakfast and the Rio Ranch restaurant were the only parts of my stay I enjoyed. The rest of this Hilton needs a lot of attention. The hallways were dirty, the ice machines kept making noise and made it hard to feel comfortable, and the shower water smelled bad. There were shoe marks on the accent chair, along with several other issues. It didn't live up to the Hilton name or standards.
