My wife made the reservation, but at the window they asked for her ID and credit card before they’d let us into the room. The place needs upgrades and doesn’t deserve five stars. We only stayed two nights, and we won’t be back.

I got to my very clean, spacious room within an hour of arriving, even though I was earlier than planned. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate me and my request. The cleaning lady does an amazing, phenomenal job, and the whole property is well lit, clean, and cared for. The A/C works great too. The ownership and management are friendly and professional. Home Place Inn / Medical Center gave me the best motel or hotel stay I’ve had in years. When I’m in Houston, this is the only place I’ll stay. I recommend it!

The rooms aren’t fancy, but they’re clean and comfortable, with amazing beds. They also put out pastries, coffee, juice, and cereal every morning. Most of the staff are great, super friendly, and make the place feel welcoming and family-like. There’s one cleaning lady who’s really rude, though. It’s quiet and feels safe despite the trash hotel next door, and they have smoking rooms too. I’ll recommend this place to anyone who’ll listen.

The hotel looks very good, but these were the worst two nights I’ve had in a hotel. Some guests seemed to stay for weeks. They weren’t construction workers, as far as I could tell. They smoked weed a lot, slept during the day, and then played music loudly or argued at night, so I couldn’t sleep. I called the office the first night, and they did nothing to help. On the second and final night, I didn’t bother calling. I still got no rest and drove home exhausted the next day. Never again!
