Le Meridien Houston Downtown

Downtown worked well as a base for our Houston stay. The hotel is stylish and comfortable, and the modern rooms are well maintained. Its rooftop bar, tucked among the skyscrapers, was a highlight for an evening drink, with a lively city feel and impressive skyline views. Some of the more interesting, lively neighborhoods are farther away, but Uber made it easy to get around and explore other parts of the city. A good option if you want a comfortable downtown stay with a strong city vibe.

The room was clean and ready even though we arrived hours earlier than expected, thanks to our wonderful concierge, Asyah. She was warm and accommodating, and when I happened to mention it was my husband's birthday, she surprised us with a bucket of local beer. We ended the day at the rooftop bar. Amazing hotel, and I'd highly recommend it.

The elevators were a little slow, and maybe the hotel could use a fourth one. There was also some street noise. Even so, I'd absolutely stay again and recommend it to business travelers and couples. What really stood out was the service from the front desk, valet, and restaurant teams. They're some of the nicest and most helpful hotel employees I've come across.

Both Zutro on the lobby level and Z on 23, the rooftop bar and lounge, were amazing places to visit. I also found the gym well equipped for a full workout, with water and towels provided. I arrived late in the morning and really appreciated being allowed to check in early. The hotel is centrally located in a safe part of downtown, making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and everything worked well. I also had a nice view of the Houston skyline. I had a great stay at Le Méridien Downtown Houston and would come back.
