Communication around arrival and departure was poor. The listing promises clear check-in and checkout details, but I had to contact the property after noon on arrival day to get check-in instructions, then chase them again for checkout directions that were supposed to be sent ahead. With no front desk, timely communication matters. We also weren't told when booking or before arrival that the pool was closed or being repaired, even though it was one of the main reasons we chose the place. The unit was in unacceptable condition. It looked poorly maintained, with rough patches over water damage, exposed ductwork, patched drywall, and a general landlord-special feel. The TV, remote, and main ceiling light didn't work. The linens were the most concerning part. There were long black and gray hairs on the towels and pillows, and makeup stains on the pillowcases, making it seem like the bedding hadn't been changed between guests. We reported everything to the property and through Expedia. After multiple requests, the only response was to bring new pillowcases. Broken items stayed broken, even the light bulb, and there was no real effort to make things right or compensate us. I travel to Houston frequently for business and won't stay here again. The maintenance and cleanliness were poor, and the response to our reports was minimal. I'd advise colleagues to look elsewhere and take the negative reviews seriously.

The apartment at Mid Main was an unbelievable value, with an upscale feel and trendy but classic decor. I was staying there while closing on my condo, and I accidentally booked one night short. While I was at the title company, I got a message that they were at the apartment cleaning it for guests arriving that day. I was mortified, but they went above and beyond, fitting me in for another night and placing the incoming guests in another apartment on the same property. I'm very grateful. They were easy to communicate with and super fair.

Anna made our stay at the Houston Midtown location comfortable from October 30th until December 3rd 2025. We were in town for a medical visit to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, and she was there to help with payment questions, apartment issues, and anything else that came up. She was a pleasure to deal with before, throughout, and after our stay. We’re grateful for all her help and will definitely stay again on our next medical visit. Thank you.

The room felt cold and unwelcoming, with concrete floors and shower water that never got truly hot. That was especially bad in Houston's December weather, after waiting outside for someone to answer the phone at the entrance. The pillows were oversized and uncomfortable, so I wouldn't want to sleep on them. At night, random people rang the apartment doorbell, which made it hard to feel any privacy. The dryer took two or more cycles just to dry a few pieces of clothing, and there were scratching and running noises at night that sounded like MICE. You might even see one, if you're “lucky enough”. Getting in was frustrating too. The main entrance is tucked away in a confusing maze of corridors, and after finding it, I had to go through another check-in that felt unnecessary. Unlike a normal Agoda booking, they asked me to repeat pointless questions, upload my ID again, submit facial biometrics, and pay an extra deposit, even though the stay was already paid in full. Terrible from start to finish. Not recommended.
