Lotus inn

The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent, but this wasn't an environment for me. There were disturbing people walking around at night, which felt unsafe. Loud banging woke me in the middle of the night, like a scene in a movie about drugs or prostitution locations. There were cigarette butts all over the stairway, and the towels and bedding were thin.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. Our room was huge, with a long entryway and a sofa and chair off to the side. The shower was beautiful, and there were storage doors beneath the bathroom sink. We'll definitely stay here again.

I liked the location: traffic wasn't crowded, and it was relatively close to almost everywhere I needed to go. I stayed for over a year, until I left Houston, mainly because I wanted somewhere to rest after working nights without getting tied to an apartment lease while I wasn't sure about my job here. They clean rooms every day, but I didn't want to be disturbed in the morning, so I only got the cleaning when I was out or running errands. The hosts were very nice and accommodating, and I almost felt I got a bit of special treatment as a tenant. I'll stay here again when I'm around Houston for a few days, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to stay and enjoy the area.

I've been coming here whenever I'm in houston for about 5 years, and it's always been clean with friendly front desk staff. Finding a calm, clean inn while traveling to another state can be a hassle, but I've never had an issue here. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.
