Redwood Suites

I only called to ask whether they had smoking rooms, and the man said no, then hung up on me. When I called back, he tried to explain that there weren’t any rooms available at all, but that wasn’t what he’d said the first time. I haven’t even been to the property, but that service was poor enough that I wouldn’t want to stay there.

I’ve stayed at Redwood Suites a few times over the past three years, and it’s the only nearby place I find acceptable. The rooms have been clean and quiet, which matters most to me, and whenever something has gone wrong, they’ve fixed it. The staff can be a little strict, but they’re generally polite. Nearby places are absolutely disgusting by comparison. If I had to pick between this and any of the other rooms around here, I’d choose this one every time. I rarely leave reviews, but I’d definitely recommend it for a short stay.

Redwood Hotel isn’t a luxury place, but cleanliness and security are where it really does well. The rooms and shared areas were very well kept, and the staff kept an eye on guests and their vehicles. I felt reassured that safety mattered there. I stayed during a Houston storm last year and came back again last night. It was comfortable both times, and the attentive staff made a strong impression. I’d recommend Redwood Hotel if you want a clean, maintained place where the staff takes your safety seriously.

The rooms are clean, and most of the staff are pleasant, but the manager was very rude and not good with people. After I checked out late before, they turned me away instead of charging a late fee. The manager got an attitude and argued with me. Staff also walk around watching guests, and one told me I couldn’t have company, like I wasn’t a paying customer.
