Room 234 really needs a major overhaul. The lobby was nice, breakfast was great, the staff were great, and the room was clean, but the condition of the room was a letdown. The carpet looked original, the drapes were only partly attached to their hooks, and the sofa sagged in the middle, looked about a decade old, and had a very loose armrest. The original stove was badly worn, and the microwave worked but made a loud buzzing sound. We stayed in late January 2026 after seeing the pretty good ratings. I wonder if other rooms have been updated, but we wouldn’t reserve here again. It was clean, yet it looked as though nothing had been replaced since it was installed.

We had to abandon our booked stay from December 4-8, 2025, after finding fleas in the bed on the night of December 5th. We’d returned after working past 11 PM, hoping to sleep, but my husband and I were bitten several times. His bites swelled significantly, and with our one-year-old daughter there, we were panicked about keeping her safe. At that late hour there was just one front desk agent. She was polite, but couldn’t offer a solution, so we gathered our sleeping baby and belongings and searched for another hotel in the middle of the night. We couldn’t continue staying in what felt like uninhabitable, unhygienic conditions. Our family weekend turned into stress, sleeplessness, and unexpected last-minute lodging costs. It’s been three days since I formally reported this serious incident, and management still hasn’t followed up, apologized, or resolved anything. We also received no response after the formal report. This continued lack of communication is unacceptable. I’m deeply disappointed and want other families warned. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience, but a serious breach of trust and safety. We documented everything. Management needs to address this hygiene issue, and travelers, especially those with young children, should be cautious.

The street right in front of the hotel had heavy traffic. Inside, the rooms were clean and nice, and every employee was polite and willing to help with anything we needed.

Sendy was a class act at checkout. When I mentioned the late-night hallway noise, she apologized and said she’d add extra points for the inconvenience. Bravo Zulu, Sendy! We liked the room and the easy access from I-10, and enjoyed the stay overall. The problem was after midnight, when lots of guests walking through the hall made enough noise to wake me up and make it hard to fall back asleep. I might have rated it below five stars otherwise.
