Scottish Inns and Suites Scarsdale

It’s a comfortable place for a quick stay, and it’s quiet with a gas station right next door. The rooms are clean, and they even provide a toothbrush in case you forgot yours. The staff are great too. Just make sure you’re out by 11:15 at the latest, lol.

My deposit was taken, and I had been made to pay it in cash, even though I paid for the stay by credit card. When I asked the front desk for contact details for corporate or ownership, the woman there was very rude and wouldn’t give me any information. She also said my guest’s wife counted as an “unauthorized guest” because she came to pick him up, which made no sense to me. I’m a legitimate business person and have never dealt with behavior this unprofessional. The clerk even yelled at me on the phone when I said I needed to leave for work at 8 AM. The whole operation felt dishonest and deceptive. I recently stayed at the Scottish Inn on Scarsdale, and I consider the place a scam. I’m contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and plan to file a formal complaint about this location. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The only good parts of my stay were the free Wi-Fi and the man who checked me in. They advertise breakfast on the hotel site, but there wasn’t any. The supposed kitchen was falling apart, the sheets were very thin, and they used floor towels from the bathroom as regular towels. Around checkout, they watched us and rushed my family out before the time was up, threatening to call the police while I was with my 4-, 3-, and 1-year-old children. They were rude and inconsiderate. They must be family owned. I won’t stay here again.

The new management is great, and the staff are really accommodating. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
