Sterling Inn and Suites at Reliant and Medical Center Houston

A few basics, like utensils, would be useful for guests to have in the rooms.

I’ve stayed here for the last two rodeo cookoffs and one concert. The hotel has been restored and feels like new, and the rooms are really clean. Staff are friendly, too. I left three nice button-down shirts and a pair of jeans behind once, and the hotel called that evening to let me know. I picked everything up four days later without any trouble. It was $106 for the room, and I recommend it to friends going to events at NRG stadium.

I left the hotel and lost the money I paid for the night after housekeeping came into my room while I was in the shower. I got out startled and found her there while I was undressed, with just a towel on. She said she had to clean, and even after I told her I was showering, she stayed and called her manager. The manager said housekeeping had to do their job. Earlier, I’d told the housekeeper I didn’t need service, but she came in anyway and threw away my personal things. When I raised it with management, I was told housekeeping was required to enter whether I wanted it or not, and that I couldn’t stay if I refused. They invaded my privacy. I’ll be taking this further, it was very illegal.

They offered me a room for $50 for a few hours, which is still a lot for me since I don’t make much. The rooms cost too much.
