It’s affordable and close to town, and when I explained the noise problems calmly, the front desk attendants did their best to help. First there was a lot of stomping from upstairs, so they moved me. Then the neighbor next door started playing loud music through a speaker. In the end I left and got a refund for one night. Thanks to the staff for making that easy. Some people live there long term, so I didn’t want to make a big drama out of a small thing. Being nice really does help.

The front desk people were good, but the room was horrible. It reeked of old cigarette smoke and mildew, and I had to wash every clean item I’d brought in there afterward, including my clothes, pillow, backpack, and even the inside of my suitcase. The photos were misleading, and the place looked nothing like them. Maybe it was like that when it was first built, but it sure isn’t now. The smoke detectors didn’t have covers, either. This feels more like a place for people who need somewhere to stay than a hotel for travelers. I stayed one night and hope I never have to return. Owner, I don’t want to hear an apology about my experience.

The room had some nice features, but they weren’t being taken care of. The kitchen sink didn’t work, the drawers wouldn’t open, and when I pulled one, the handle came off. The bathroom fan was broken, so the room couldn’t vent and was getting mildew and mold. The tub also leaked onto the floor. After I told the front desk, they kicked us out and tried not to refund the final four days. The manager was very rude and disrespectful.

They’re remodeling right now, and the price is hard to beat. The location is great, and the staff are really friendly. I’d recommend it to friends and family. Nice work, keep it up. I’ll see you again soon. 👍👍👍💯💯💯
