The staff were friendly, and the lobby coffee was hot even very early, before breakfast started. My room was clean and spacious, though a little outdated. The lot itself is somewhat small, but there’s plenty of additional parking behind the building. My one minor gripe: weekday breakfast should start at 6am, like at most other Marriott hotels, instead of 6:30am.

It was a good stay overall. Having almost a full kitchen in the room was handy, though the bathroom could have been cleaner.

I spent about two weeks here and, as a Marriott Bonvoy member who’s stayed at many locations, I thought this one was excellent. The staff and management were pleasant and accommodating, and even management works at the front desk, which I’ve never seen before. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was sufficient, though better on weekends. There’s plenty of parking and Walmart is a two-minute walk away. Thanks to Krystal, Jose, Marisol, Felicia, and Amber for doing a great job.

The breakfast selection was very good, and the staff were really nice. The views weren’t anything special, and I didn’t use the workout area. It’s in a shopping area near Chinatown and the Galleria. Finding your way through the area is a little tricky at first, but once you’ve done it, it’s not so bad.

During our seven nights here, every cleaning crew member we saw greeted us with a big smile. It may seem like a small thing, but it made a lasting impression on me. The staff were friendly and respectful throughout. TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston Galleria Area is in a great spot, right by Walmart and several restaurants. We could walk over for things we needed or grab dinner nearby on nights we didn’t want to drive the rental. The Galleria is just over a mile away.
