WoodSpring Suites Houston Westchase

I booked for October 15 through October 22, 2025, but left after just one night, October 15, because the conditions felt unsafe and unsanitary. I want a full refund for the unused nights, October 16 through October 22, 2025. The hallways and staircases reeked of urine, the floors were filthy, and the bathroom was infested with roaches. Groups of men were gathering in the halls and stairwells, making the atmosphere uncomfortable and unsafe. My door's safety lock was broken and hanging by one screw, as if it had been damaged or forced. There were holes in the walls in both the room and common areas. One entrance door had no doorknob, and guests had been prying it open. Most frightening, a man tried to lure me into his room. I feared for my safety, went back to my room for my belongings, and left immediately. On October 16 I called the front desk to report that I'd left early and wanted a refund. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. When I returned in person to check out and get the refund, the staff member started helping until she saw I'd paid cash. Then she abruptly refused to process the refund or even complete checkout. She called Jose to the desk, and he refused to document that they wouldn't check me out or refund me. The condition of the property forced me to leave for my health and safety, and management's failure to honor what they told me or their policies is a breach of trust. I'll have to take this further through other channels, including the Better Business Bureau, local health and safety authorities, and social media.
