Days Inn by Wyndham Humble/Houston Intercontinental Airport

American Airlines put me here after my flight was delayed, and I stayed only until I could get an Uber to the airport. The first room had sheets covered in hair and bodily fluids. When I called the front desk, the manager asked if I could change them myself because he didn’t know how. They moved me to another floor, where I saw roaches coming out of the corners. A two star rating doesn’t excuse this level of dirt or service. This place was disgusting. Beware and stay away.

We paid too much for what we got, even though the room was inexpensive. All I needed was a clean room with heat. I had to rinse what looked like mop water residue out of the tub before showering, and the bathroom counter hadn’t been wiped after the previous guests. The room only warmed up to 60°, then it was 50° by morning. I don’t usually complain, but people should know.

The location was handy for restaurants, and the man at the service desk was very kind and helpful. The rooms are a little rough, and everything is older. They use so much Fabreze that the smell is unpleasant. A natural lemon cleaner would be a big improvement.

For an inexpensive overnight near the airport, this place works fine. It’s quiet, the rooms are acceptable, and there’s coffee and friendly staff. It’s basic, but close to the airport and has a shuttle.
