Quality Inn Selinsgrove

We came back because our last stay, although the hotel needed updating, had been tidy, with delicious breakfast and amazingly helpful, friendly staff. This time was a huge disappointment. When I asked at check-in for somewhere safe, clean, and comfortable, we were given room 204, which was filthy. There was hair everywhere, grime on the walls, switches, and tabletop, stains on the padded chairs, and a carpet badly in need of vacuuming. One mattress was stained, its sheets were so thin they were nearly worn through, and the blanket had a hole and stains. We took that blanket off and used the other one from the stained mattress. The curtain wouldn't close until we realized it had come off its track and fixed it ourselves. It was late and cold, and we weren't sure where else to go, or we would have left. The staff were still friendly and helpful. When we politely raised the problems, they said we'd been put in one of the “unremodeled” rooms. I had specifically asked for a clean room, and I don't see why remodeling should affect basic cleanliness. Breakfast was just okay. We didn't see any water, the coffee in the pump pots was lukewarm, and the only fruit was a bowl of overripe bananas. We won't stay here again. If you do, I'd ask to see your room before paying and have another place in mind. I was told the hotel behind this one has the same owners, so who knows if that would have been better. Next time we'll drive farther and stay somewhere else.

The woman at the front desk was pleasant and helpful when I checked in, and the price for one night was good. But the room had stains and dust everywhere, trash next to and behind the bed, dirty walls, and a musty smell. It was hot, and the beds were mostly clean but really uncomfortable. By morning, my allergies had kicked in. It needs a very deep clean, and better cleaners, in my opinion. The pool is outdoors, not inside. There's free breakfast, but I passed on it. Next time I'm in the area, I'll skip this place and stay at the Holiday Inn next door.

I came from NY to PA for an early video shoot, which finished much sooner than I expected. The room was clean and well put together, and I had a comfortable stay. The front desk woman was helpful and professional when I called to ask about checking in early, though I’m sorry I forgot her name. Thanks to the staff member who got my room ready at short notice, great job! The team was friendly, and I highly recommend this Quality Inn in PA. Maw

The hotel was quiet and our room was clean. The heat wasn't working at first, but the desk staff fixed it quickly, and everyone was really nice. One of the lights in the room didn't work. It was okay.
