Timber Wolf Resort & Jeep Rentals

The nighttime train is the one thing to keep in mind. It runs right through town, so every resort here will hear it. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to retreat to after a long day out, especially if you have a camper. Sites have 50A and 30A power, water, sewer, and BBQ pits, with a jug of water supplied for putting out the fire. There’s a community fire pit, gazebo, and outdoor dining area with games. Showers cost 50¢ for 10 minutes, and the facilities are clean.

Our site 43 was tucked away at the back, so it felt nicely secluded. This is such a cute little campsite, and it’s only about 16 minutes from the park entrance. My partner and I stayed four nights while visiting Glacier, and I loved the site layout. I highly recommend it for a Glacier trip.

We could hear other visitors coming into the building until 10 pm, when access becomes restricted. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay at Timber Wolf Resort and would gladly recommend it. Check-in instructions were clear and easy, and our assigned room in the guest house/commons building was clean and as described. It’s close to Glacier NP and other activities. The gated entry and building security codes helped us feel safe.

We arrived on September 19 hoping to see Glacier National Park and the Going to the Sun Road, but were disappointed that our 22 foot motorhome would be very restricted. Then we found Timber Wolf Lodge. We could rent a jeep and stay at a beautiful, extremely well-kept campground. The hosts were warm and friendly, and we got to experience Glacier National Park fully.
