Hampton Inn Huntsville-Arsenal/South Pkway

We were in town for a conference, and the location worked perfectly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and reception was courteous. There are nice places to sit in the lobby, which has modern decor. Breakfast was nice and convenient, too. We'd stay again.

I travel for a living, and this is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. The lobby, hallways, and rooms all smell amazing. Tonya is phenomenal, polite, and easy to deal with.

The staff are friendly, and the hotel and rooms are clean. Rates are reasonable, and breakfast isn't bad. There aren't many dining choices nearby, but getting to the parkway is fairly easy.

Everything else about the stay was great, but the arrival was stressful, so I have mixed feelings about the service. We booked through Priceline Direct, as we often travel and it saves us a lot. I know booking through a third party can cause problems, though we've never had one before. At check-in, the woman at the desk said Priceline's virtual credit card had been declined and told us to contact them or pay full price. We contacted Priceline and checked with her again, but she kept telling us to pay again. We went back to the car and called Priceline once more. They tried to phone her and said she hung up; the representative then emailed because he couldn't speak with the hotel over the phone. After driving around for a while to give them time to sort it out, we returned and found two men at the desk. One was training, and we learned there are a couple of extra steps for checking in third-party bookings. They got us checked in easily and were very helpful. I still don't know exactly what happened.
