For an extended work stay, this was a great spot, with spacious, clean rooms and a convenient location beside a Kroger and shopping center. There are lots of places to eat within a few miles. Natasha and Jackson at the front desk were consistently friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to answer my questions and handle requests. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, refreshing the room without moving my personal things. I did hear a large dog in the room above me for part of my stay. That's a personal noise sensitivity, but if you're like me, I'd pick the top floor. Quiet hours around 9 or 10 p.m. through morning helped. The laundry machines did a good job on my clothes, though you'll need quarters from elsewhere. I got mine at the nearby HEB customer service center. I'd visit again.

I used to enjoy coming here, and housekeeping had never been a problem for me. But twice, housekeeping opened my door without knocking, even though my guests and I were still staying in the room. It seems the front desk and housekeeping aren't communicating. The front desk staff also weren't very friendly this time, and some lacked good customer service skills. I miss Emilee, who no longer works here. She was friendly, great with customers, and someone I enjoyed talking to.

The bed was awfully firm, and anyone with a bad back or who dislikes firm beds should avoid it. In the king suite with a dishwasher, the toilet area and door were cramped compared with other hotels I've stayed in. Customer service wasn't bad, exactly, but there was no enthusiasm, smiling or greeting when we came and went or at breakfast. I stayed December 24-26, 2025, in room 204. A Google review posted two days before my visit had shown the same broken mirror, and it still hadn't been removed or replaced, despite management replying that they'd handle it. I wish I'd booked next door at Fairfield. It was a bit cheaper, with better rooms and breakfast.

We paid $135 a night for two nights, but the room's coffee pot didn't work either morning. When we told the front desk, they said they'd ask maintenance to look at it, but didn't offer a replacement. On Sunday we waited until 7 a.m. to check out so we could eat at the breakfast buffet before getting on the road. At checkout, we were told breakfast wouldn't start until 8 because the person was running behind. We couldn't wait, and I'm bothered there was no discount for the breakfast inconvenience or the broken coffee pot. We'll use another hotel next time.
