stayAPT Suites Huntsville

I liked the hotel design and the room setup. It felt like a little apartment, and the place has potential. But the pots and pans were so filthy that I had to get clean ones to cook. Housekeeping had apparently cleaned the room and still left them there. One housekeeper with a toddler ponytail gave me a nasty look and kept walking when I said good morning. There was also blood along the hallway all the way to the stairs outside, and it stayed there for my whole visit. They need to make some changes, especially with housekeeping.

The original woman who helped me was extremely helpful, and things were fine until the male manager came back. These rooms aren’t worth what they cost. The heating and air conditioning in my room were broken, though luckily it wasn’t very hot or cold outside, and one side of the bed sagged. I needed to add another night, but was accused of smoking in the room. I wasn’t smoking, I was cooking Indian, Thai, and mainland Chinese food. They complained about the smells, and I felt it was racist to assume ethnic cooking meant cannabis use. I won’t stay at one of these hotels again.

ReJanee at the front desk was especially attentive, and we were also glad to meet GM Kevin. My wife and I were impressed by the hospitality and professionalism, including from the cleaning staff. They went above and beyond for us. This was our first time at this establishment, but we’ve agreed that when we’re in Huntsville, we’ll stay at the Stay APT suites. Highly recommend it.

The biggest issue during our weeklong business stay was the internet. We were told several times it would be fixed the next day, but Wi-Fi never worked the whole week. I had a personal hotspot and used all my data just to keep up with work. The room itself was quiet at night and clean, which we appreciated. Still, housekeeping was rude, we had no regular trash service and took our own trash out every day, and the cookware had stuck-on food. There was no dish soap or sponge to wash it. I wouldn’t stay here again. Other hotels offer the basics for a more comfortable, dependable stay.
