I've been here three times for almost three weeks total, with no real complaints, and it remains my preferred hotel in the area. My family likes it too. My first stay was with my husband, the next included our nine-month-old and in-laws, and now we're here with our toddler. The hotel is packed this time and it got noisy this morning, though there's not much they can do about that. I'm very picky about hotel cleanliness and check mattresses, bedding, bathrooms, headboards, picture frames, and other spots for hair, bugs, or thick dust. These rooms are clean without a harsh chemical smell. The bed is decent, water pressure is good, and there are river and lake views. Breakfast is what I'd expect from a hotel, though I usually skip it. The kind, accommodating staff are incredibly helpful. We hang the DND sign when we don't want daily housekeeping and are left alone; if we request trash service, fresh towels, or bedding, they provide it. The shower spray is a bit odd, and the shampoo and conditioner are mounted where you stand under the water and might bump into them. Those are minor inconveniences. I'll keep choosing this place when I'm in town.

My kids and I stayed one night a few days ago, and I was impressed by how clean our room was for such a cheap price. The location was great, the pool was clean and nice, and we had it to ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was happy with the stay. (:

It's a basic hotel, but the beds are reasonably comfortable, the room is clean, and breakfast is included. Coffee, gas, groceries, and a couple of restaurants are close by. The Toyota Corolla comparison fits: nothing fancy, but it gets you from point A to point B. For a value-priced stay in the area, I'd suggest the Comfort Inn River's Edge and would return. There are a few drawbacks. The Wi-Fi was so slow that I switched to my phone hotspot, which was faster, so I wouldn't work remotely here. Rooms aren't cleaned or beds made between nights. Bathroom supplies are limited to shampoo, conditioner, and a couple of tiny soap bars, so I'd bring my own. The elevator smells a little musty, but the room itself was clean and odor-free.

The riverfront seating was nice, and the Riverside room was spacious and clean. The hotel looks newly remodeled and was pretty quiet, though train horns might wake light sleepers. Breakfast was so-so, but the coffee was good. The bar and restaurant next door were okay.

I've stayed here a couple of times, and each visit I've found my room clean and the staff friendly. I've enjoyed my stays.
