Rodeway Inn Hurricane - Zion National Park Area

The noise made it hard to rest: the walls and ceiling are thin, and we heard someone upstairs stomping late into the night, along with conversations in the parking lot. The pillows were very lumpy, and the worn sheets had holes. There were marks on the walls and along the floorboards that looked like food or who knows what, and the walls need a good wipe down and fresh paint. The shower smelled of sewage, possibly from a dry trap. We ran water down the drain, but traps don't dry out unless they haven't been used for over a week, so I don't know how long that shower had gone without use or cleaning. The room looked clean enough at first, but had these questionable details. If you just need a cheap stop on the way to or from Zion and aren't too concerned about cleanliness, it may do. I've stayed in much worse hotels, but I personally wouldn't come back.

Don't book at the Econo Lodge or Rodeway Inn in Hurricane. We'd been staying at the Econo Lodge on and off all week and it had been great. Today we checked out and booked the Rodeway Inn through a third party because it was cheaper, but they canceled our reservation and said they couldn't accommodate my family because we'd booked through a third party instead of directly with them. The difference was $40. They only want the money, and it felt selfish and greedy. If you're willing to pay for an expensive place that isn't worth it, book here. Otherwise, I'd go somewhere else.

The desk guy was good, and this is a decent basic place to stay. But the guest rooms back onto a residential neighborhood, where a dog barked on and off all night and into the early morning. Add loud conversations and arguments in the parking lot that went late into the evening, and it just wasn't a good experience.

George, the service guy, was the highlight of my stay at the Rodeway in Hurricane, Utah. He was genuinely welcoming, answered questions, helped with requests, and went out of his way to make me feel at home. His professionalism and warm personality are a real asset to the hotel. The place itself was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the location made it easy to reach nearby attractions and enjoy the scenery. I'd absolutely recommend it and will be back. Huge thanks to George and the whole team for making the visit so enjoyable.
