The Dwellings

That trail down to the river is awesome, and I loved spending time on the balcony with the spectacular view. The room was new and very nice, but small. The king bed took up most of it, leaving little room to move around or put luggage. A finished closet for storing things would’ve been nice. I also loved the full kitchen and charcoal grill on the balcony. The hard part is the road noise. It’s so loud that restful sleep feels impossible.

Getting here was easy, and if all you need is a place to sleep, these are perfect. The units are modern and nicely decorated, but small. There wasn’t much space for luggage for the three women in our group. It’s also on a busy street, so traffic carried on all night.

The private outdoor area was a favorite, with comfortable seating and views of the mountains and river. Inside, everything was super clean and comfortable. There’s a coffee shop and pizza place right next door, plus a full kitchen and a grocery store a minute away for stocking up before a park day. Zion is about a 30-minute drive, and honestly, the drive was a highlight. It was nice to get away from Springdale’s crowds and high prices, enjoy the beautiful route, then come back somewhere quieter. This was hands down the best place we stayed on our big five Utah parks tour. If I’m lucky enough to return to the area, I’ll stay here again, 100 percent.

Unit 18 is literally called THE EDGE, and it sits right on the cliff’s edge with mountain views, including snow, and total privacy. Welcome to La Verkin! It’s a really cute vacation rental, a bit different from the usual. The room was beautiful and had coffee and amenities, plus unlimited hot water and a beautiful shower. The Zion got springs is two minutes away, with 34 hot pools for mineral soaking and a cafe too.
