Motel 6 Idabel, Ok

The room was clean and the staff were nice, but the bed was hard. All night there were doors slamming and people talking in the hallway right outside my door. A reefer truck was parked just outside our window and ran constantly. They can’t control how loud other guests are. If you just need somewhere to get out of the weather, take a quick shower, and nap, this will do.

The room itself was okay, but there was a weed smell as soon as we walked in. I know smoking weed is legal there, but I shouldn’t have to smell it. The woman working that afternoon and evening, 11-1-25, seemed high. It was the same when we came back the next afternoon from our outings. Then we got locked out of our room and decided to leave early. We’d booked two nights but stayed only one, and there was no free breakfast either.

We’ve been here several times over the last six months, and every room we’ve had was super clean with comfortable beds. The location is good, right off the main highway, but once you’re in the room you can barely hear traffic.

The counter staff were nice and the room was clean, but the bathroom paint and drywall were shoddy. Our ground-floor room had a connecting door to the room next door, and the guests there were repeatedly loud and didn’t seem to care that we could hear them. Connecting rooms are supposed to have two separate doors, not one, and this place has just one. My family and I were in Oklahoma for a funeral. Honestly, this place needs to be brought up to better code.
