Idyllwild Inn

We’ve stayed at the Idyllwild Inn a few times, and it keeps living up to expectations. Leisa at the front desk is lovely and always makes us feel welcome. Her pies are amazing, but her heart is even sweeter! This time we tried the Hideout Cabin for the first time, and it was phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond to meet all our needs. Idyllwild is a rare gem, full of some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. We feel lucky to stay and enjoy this beautiful place. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful vacation!

Being able to wander into town on foot was a real plus. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, and Terry and Lisa were wonderfully kind and helpful. We also picked up Lisa’s razzle dazzle berry pie, which was delicious. We stayed a few nights just before Christmas and are already looking forward to coming back. Thanks!

Those Christmas hikes around Idy are even better when I can return to a warm cabin at the Idyllwild Inn. The fire and the basics all worked well, from the heating and shower to the kitchen, which had the pots, pans, and utensils I needed. The cabins feel like a clean, safe refuge among the trees, and the staff are so welcoming they make you feel like family. The pies at the front desk are delicious, too. It's one of those special places among the pines that just feels like home.

The people at the Idyllwild Inn made the stay feel personal. Monty handled check-in warmly, and Lisa was genuinely friendly. Around town, people remember you and say hello like a neighbor. That kind of welcome is rare, and it stayed with me. The Inn seems to share the open, easygoing spirit of Idyllwild, an artistic and diverse mountain community. I was struck by how clean everything felt. On our first night, I told my partner to smell the fresh linens. The bedding and clean air reset my expectations for a well-kept room. The dog-friendly atmosphere was another fit for us, our pup felt welcome too. The historic rooms and rustic cabins have real character, with some more than 120 years old, while still being comfortable. You can feel the history in the details, and the mountain air makes it easy to relax. We arrived for a getaway and left feeling connected to the community. This place is about warmth, care, and authenticity rather than flashy luxury, and I wanted to return before we even left.
