Susan was extremely helpful at check-in, and the service was excellent. We stayed two nights in a handy little cabin with Wi-Fi and cable TV, both a big plus with kids. The bathroom items were a nice touch too, with body wash, lotion, dishes, and silverware available if you want to cook. I'd stay again. There were some privacy and comfort problems, though. The first-floor bathroom lock didn't work, and the upstairs sliding bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. The shower was the only one and was extremely small, so it needs a serious upgrade. The heater didn't seem to work, although there was a radiator heater. Pack lots of blankets because it can get very cold overnight.

The trail into the center is easy to reach, and the views along it are beautiful. From the evergreen room, it was about a 10-minute walk to the city center. Most things were great, except in the washroom: the tub stopper didn't work, so we couldn't use the tub, and the sink was a little clogged.

Just outside downtown Idyllwild, the room was lovely and had a great view. We enjoyed sitting on the little patio, and the place was very well kept. Little River runs right behind it, with a path you can follow into town. My wife and I had a really nice stay.

The staff at Strawberry Creek Inn were proactive and very honest when I left my wallet behind. The housekeeping and front desk lady handled its return with real professionalism and character. A huge thank you to them. This place clearly has people of great integrity, and they deserve five stars.

The country gentlemen room was unbelievable. You can tell how much care went into designing it. The staff were so sweet, and Idyllwild is a wonderful place. We found a real getaway from LA here and have been recommending the hotel to friends and family.
