DoubleTree Suites Hotel Melbourne Beach Oceanfront

The three days here were the best part of our two-week vacation. I wish we'd spent longer here and skipped Disney. The room was lovely, with comfortable, clean beds, and the location was amazing. Even in winter the beach was beautiful. You can rent lounge chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards there, and there's a shower and foot wash at the end of the dock so you don't track all the sand back to your room. There are great local restaurants nearby, and eating in was pretty good too. The breakfast buffet was a good value at $20. We paid extra for an ocean view and got ground-level room 104, which was so nice with its private patio and close access to the pool and beach. I'd ask for that room again. We'll definitely book here again!

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with custom omelets made to order. Lunch and dinner had plenty of choices and large portions, and the truffle fries are well worth the upgrade. Parking is ample, and the place is wheelchair-friendly. Michelle at the front desk made everything easy and treated us great. Adam at the Tiki bar knew just about everything on offer and was great to talk with. My family and I spent 10 days here and had a wonderful experience every day. The rooms were spacious and clean, well maintained by housekeeping, and had nice balconies overlooking the ocean. The beds were super comfortable. The shower was huge, though the water pressure was a little weak. The pool is large and clean; the hot tub is a bit small but very well kept. There's a little boardwalk to the beach, where you can rent chairs with a large umbrella and other beach gear. It was well worth it. We've found our new favorite vacation destination, 10/10, would recommend. I'd give it more than five stars if I could.

We stayed about 10 days with a large group, and every hotel staff member made us feel like a top priority every single day. They handled every request quickly and with a smile. The food was amazing, and you can't beat the location. We can't wait to come back for another phenomenal 10/10 stay. Shoutout to Amy and Adrian!

The beds were comfortable, the AC worked very well, Ignacio was a fantastic server, and housekeeping was great. That's about all the good I can say. The service was either excellent or awful, with nothing between, and this hotel wasn't worth more than a thousand dollars for four nights. At breakfast, the waitress pointed to the buffet and said the water and juice were over there. When she asked if we wanted some from her, we said no because we expected to get it ourselves. There was none at the buffet. I poured some from the pitcher by the table, and she saw me and explained what servers are for as if I were 12, saying, “I asked you!” Next time, don't tell us something is somewhere when it isn't. We were trying to be polite. If you're overwhelmed with four guests, that's for you to deal with, not us. We paid for orange juice through room service and didn't get it. We were told calamari was $5 as part of a playoff appetizer special, then charged $15. We paid anyway. We also ordered bottled water and didn't receive it. When we asked them to bring it, they gave us “great value” brand or whatever instead of the $8 Fijis we'd paid for. On day four, we got food poisoning. We'd only eaten there, so it was definitely their food that caused it.
