Ivette answered every question I had, both before and after I signed a lease for an apartment I was interested in. Even when I felt like I was being a bother, she made it seem like no trouble, replied promptly, and never got frustrated with all my questions. She’s the best person I’ve dealt with in any customer experience role. I wish more people treated each other that way. She’s a great property manager, and I hope the building’s owners understand how valuable she is.

The main nuisance during my 15-month stay at Elaan Apartments was the elevator. Sometimes it was dirty and had a faint dog pee smell. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed living there. Richard, the property manager, was professional and communicative, made my move easy, and quickly handled my concerns and questions. Maintenance was impressively responsive too, resolving issues efficiently. I’d recommend Elaan Apartments for a comfortable, well-managed home. Update: getting my deposit back took four months and several emails.

For what we pay in rent, the rooftop is a mess, especially the dog park. There’s dog poop scattered and embedded all over the turf. Last month was even worse, with big piles everywhere because some owners couldn’t be bothered to clean up. They need to fine people who don’t pick up after their dogs. They’ve also shut off the hose, so there’s no way to rinse away pee or clean your shoes before heading inside. I bet testing the floors, hallways, or even apartments would turn up traces of poop and who knows what else. With warmer weather coming, I’m honestly thinking about reporting this to the health department as a major biohazard.

We booked through Vrbo, but the bedroom couldn’t sleep four people as advertised. The pool had trash floating in it, and the walls didn’t keep out sound. The lobby smelled of stale cigarette smoke, and the whole fourth floor smelled like weed. The photos made this place look luxurious, but it was far from that. It’s in a bad part of town, with people fighting outside the homeless shelter right across from the front door. Never again.
