Hampton Inn & Suites Indianapolis-Airport

The room was clean and a good size, and the price was reasonable for somewhere near the airport. But the bed was hard and uncomfortable, and I could hear every cough, sneeze, and sniffle from the adjoining room. I was only stopping overnight, so asking to move didn’t seem worthwhile. The hotel is also at the end of a terribly maintained road off the main thoroughfare.

The airport shuttle was meant to arrive at 4:30 AM, but it was 15 minutes late and already mostly full when it reached our hotel. I was also disappointed with the room, even though I’d been upgraded as a Diamond member. The thermostat looks like it has a fan-only setting, but the fan only runs with the heat or AC. We like air moving, and the steady noise is helpful with the airport nearby.

Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and this Hampton Inn met my expectations. My room was spotless, the hotel felt welcoming, and there was a pleasant scent as soon as I came in. The staff, especially Joe, were friendly and really helpful. I also got to use the pool, hot tub, gym, and breakfast, which is a first for me at a Hampton Inn. Management and staff are doing a superb job here.

We’ve stayed at this hotel once before, back before my husband and I were married, and enjoyed it then. This time we pulled over for food and a restroom break, then decided to stop for the night. We had the hotel saved, so I called to ask about availability. Patrick at the front desk was informative and very helpful getting us a reservation. When we arrived, he was warm and even suggested places to eat. His calm manner eased our worries about unwanted rodents. I checked the room’s amenities, which were all filled, and pulled back the bed linen. The refrigerator was the one issue. I called the front desk, and Patrick offered another room or to store our refrigerated items in the hotel fridge. We chose the latter because we didn’t want to be a bother. The shower had a massage setting on the shower head. It loosened four tight spots, and I slept like a baby afterward. We set an alarm so we could have breakfast before getting back on the road. It was hot and delicious, and the woman looking after the breakfast area patiently showed me how to use the waffle maker. I’ve forgotten her name. At checkout we spoke with Ms. Shannon, the manager, and shared our review with her to recognize her and the staff. We’ll stay here again. Thank you all!
