Holiday Inn Express and Suites Indianapolis W- Airport Area by IHG

The room was clean, and breakfast had lots of choices and was great. But compared with other Holiday Inns, this place fell short. The sink faucet barely ran, all four pillows were soft and flat instead of the usual two soft and two firm, and the Wi-Fi signal was very poor. The parking lot, shared with Motel 6, was a nightmare to navigate and hadn’t been plowed after the latest snowfall, so walking there felt dangerous. Highway noise was loud too. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be back.

Laura at the front desk made a really hard night easier. Our flight was delayed, so we didn’t arrive until 3 a.m. I was sore from traveling and being pregnant, and she was compassionate and thoughtful. She brought me water, made sure we had enough linens, and helped load the luggage cart since I shouldn’t lift more after all the traveling. I’m very grateful to her. The hotel was recently remodeled, the rooms were nice, and my husband and I liked that there was no carpet because it felt clean. There’s also a 24-hour airport shuttle. I’d recommend the hotel and plan to return if we need a place in Indy again.

The first room was filthy, so we had to be moved. The pool area should literally be condemned, and the elevator banged and rattled in a way that felt scary. There were questionable people outside in the parking area, and a homeless man wandered in and helped himself to coffee without anyone seeming to notice. The internet didn’t work either. I expected better after reading other reviews, and this wasn’t what I expect from Holiday Inn Express. I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff have always been friendly when I’ve stayed here, but the hotel badly needs attention. On one visit, the elevator was out of order, my room was filthy, and water had pooled around the toilet overnight. This most recent time, there were broken fixtures in the room and no hot water for the morning shower.
