Hotel Broad Ripple

The location is great, and the cleaning staff were warm and welcoming. I liked the concept, but the stay didn’t feel like a traditional hotel or bed and breakfast. For example, there wasn’t a microwave in the room. Some everyday operations and on-site maintenance could be better. Nearby four-star hotels are more affordable and offer a better experience.

Broad Ripple is a lovely village in Indianapolis, and the hotel was beautiful and cleaner than most chain hotels I’ve stayed at in a while. I met up there with two friends, one local and one from Tennessee, after traveling from Northwest, OH. It felt like a real hidden gem, with cute little shops an easy walk away. I arrived just before 5 on Friday, ahead of my friend. I’d read that the lobby bar was open, so I went in around 5 and was greeted right away by Alex, who was tending the bar and checking people in. He looked after me while I waited, and when I mentioned it was a girls weekend, he suggested the Mexican restaurant across the road. I had a glass of wine and chatted with him. We found out we both play Pokémon Go. Later, when the three of us were having drinks on the patio, Alex made sure we were taken care of and was a great bartender and host. All the staff were wonderful, and the coffee in the morning was amazing. The whole weekend was great, and the service was FREAKING TOP NOTCH!!! There are two charging stations for electric cars, and near the coffee there’s a little tablet showing the property when they first took it over and the progress since. Take a little time to learn the hotel’s history. Also, stop and knock on Harry Potter's door under the steps and say hello. A definite hidden gem, highly recommend checking it out.

I was only in town overnight, and the room was clean and comfortable. Dennis, the GM, was kind, easy to reach, and communicative. I liked the quaint local atmosphere and would take that over a big chain hotel. Great place to stay, thank you!

We were in town for our anniversary, and this charming, cozy place was just right. Before dinner, we stopped at the lounge for wine and ended up having a lovely conversation with the friendly staff. The owner shared some restaurant suggestions, and one of them was a hit. After dinner, we slept wonderfully in a bed that was beyond comfortable. We felt like no detail had been missed and enjoyed the stay immensely. We’re already looking forward to booking again. Thanks for such a quaint place right in the heart of Broad Ripple.
