Quality Inn Indianola

We drove three hours home without bathing because the tub was so filthy that I couldn’t use it. We came from Memphis, TN, and the first room had ants all over the sink. They moved us to a second room full of flies and bugs. The front desk woman said that’s how things are here in the “Delta.” The room smelled horrible, and she had put us right in front of the garage. I also got a bump on my butt after sitting on the toilet.

The only desk worker I’ve found pleasant is the friendly woman who usually works after 4pm. The other front desk staff I’ve encountered were unpleasant and unprofessional. This Saturday morning there was no coffee at 8am, so guests had to make it themselves. Then the desk worker dumped it out before 9am while people were still drinking. When I first tried to book, the hotel didn’t answer my calls, so I had to reserve through the Pearl, Mississippi location. This poor service hurts the brand. I’d give this place 2 out of 10, compared with 8.5 at Quality Inn in Pearl.

The hotel’s service was amazing, but the bathroom was very nasty. My husband had to clean the toilet and tub himself, using supplies they provided. Management wasn’t available to hear my concern. After traveling 9-10 hours to Clarksdale, we needed to wash off the road, and the bathroom situation was uncomfortable. I can’t say I won’t return, since the service really was great, but whoever was supposed to clean our room didn’t do it.

I found out the water would be off for an hour only when I went to take a bath. No one called to warn me beforehand that they planned to shut it off. That was unprofessional.
