The rate was reasonable, and there wasn't another hotel within 30 miles, so I didn't have much choice. Still, the place had a lot of charm. I was the only person in the building all night, which made it really quiet. I did meet the parrot in the lobby, though. He was chill.

I liked wandering the hallways and picking up bits of the building's history. Every room has its own theme, and the whole place feels historic and charming, with lovely gardens and a pool. The Event Center is large and hosts lots of weddings and company meetings. At night, the doors lock behind you, which feels reassuring. You can also walk over to their sister restaurant, "Crackers," where Chef Brian Michael takes the reins in April 2025.

The backyard and pool area were surprisingly nice. The room decor has a charming idea behind it, but the results are hit or miss. A few termites showed up in several rooms, and one room was swarming with them. Otherwise, it was a fine hotel.

The second floor is set up like a small museum, and I recommend stopping in to pay respects and see it. The Inn is a beautiful memorial to the Seminoles, and it's very nicely appointed. I took a lot of beautiful pictures there, and hope the owners appreciate them as a sign of my respect for the Inn. I was in town for business to look at a property, and the owner was very helpful as I tried to decide whether to keep or sell it. The Inn itself is beautiful, and its staff were helpful. I had originally booked March 9 to March 14, 2025, but stayed only two nights and gave up the rest of the week. There isn't much to do in Indiantown for a whole week unless you're there for an event. I paid in full and understood I wouldn't get a refund for the nights I didn't use. But I was charged another $80-something at the end, and I don't know what it was for. I didn't bring this up with the owner or the hotel staff. They moved me from the top floor to the bottom, which seemed nice at first, but my room was at the end of a wing with two elderly visitors. I felt I had to stay quiet so I wouldn't disturb them. The room was quite tiny, and the tub enamel needs work. There were no blackout curtains, so the parking lot light shone in my face all night. The railroad was another big downside. It was very loud, and nobody mentioned it when I booked. There's plenty of nearby shopping, and gas prices seemed in line with the local economy. Even though the posted speed is low, people sped through town, so crossing the road on foot felt unsafe. The new high school is a sign that Indiantown is improving, but major construction is affecting residents. It seems like people who could normally afford to live there may get priced out as properties go to big developers or people have to move into expensive condos. That could take away the small-town feeling many people who grew up in Indiantown value.

I spent four nights in this historic place and loved it the whole time. It was peaceful and a great spot to recharge from the bustle of the city. The nearby restaurants were superb.
