The location is peaceful despite being right by I-10, and there was plenty of parking. Depending on which Joshua Tree NP entrance you’re heading to, this can be a good base. My room was clean and the area was nice. Breakfast cost it a star for me. I wanted a waffle one morning, but none came out. They had waffles the next day, when I didn’t have time to eat one.

Staff were courteous, but the shower problem in my room never got properly fixed. It wouldn’t drain, so the bathroom flooded. They said they repaired it, yet the same thing happened the next time I showered. We were there for a tournament weekend with several games over two days, tight schedules, and extreme heat. Having a working shower mattered, and the repeated flooding delayed us and added stress. I hope management gives basic maintenance more attention, especially on busy sports weekends.

I’d recommend this place to people I know. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and breakfast was included and good. Staff were attentive and courteous. Prices are good if you book directly instead of through an agency.

The breakfast spread was excellent, and this is a nice modern hotel. The AC took me a while to figure out on the first night. The wall control didn’t do anything, but the controls on the unit itself worked. They should put up a sign explaining that.

I had a pleasant stay, though the room smelled strongly of Clorox. I kept the window open the whole time.
