I stayed six nights earlier this month, in September 2014. My room, number 109, didn't have the funny smell some reviewers mentioned. It came with soap, conditioning shampoo, body lotion, a fridge, and a microwave. The large bed was comfortable, though the pillows weren't good. I only requested housekeeping twice. They changed the towels and cleaned the shower, which had good pressure and hot water, but the work elsewhere wasn't great: the full bin was left behind, so I took it out myself, and the countertop wasn't cleaned. The air conditioner was much too strong and couldn't be adjusted. I left it off while I was out, switched it on when I came back, turned it off at bedtime, then had to turn it on again in the middle of the night. Maybe the other rooms don't have that issue. Mike at the desk and Dennis were both pleasant and helpful.

I’d absolutely stay here again. The staff were friendly, the rooms were quiet, and the parking lot felt secure. My room was a bit dated, but that suited the classic motor-hotel feel and made for a great stop on my cross-country motorcycle trip. The train passes by pretty often, though that wasn’t much of a problem for me. If you sleep deeply, it shouldn't bother you. It didn't shake the building like others have said, and there’s no horn, just a mild vibration.

A nice, basic place, and I’d stay again. The beds were comfortable, and our room at the back meant we barely heard the train. There was a fridge and microwave too, with outlets on them for charging phones, kind of odd but handy. The bathroom was clean, though it could use an update.

We stayed here for Coachella Weekend One, and I'd book it again. Finding availability just two or three weeks before the festival was lucky, especially since the price was still manageable. It was inflated, sure, but affordable compared with every other place nearby. Even Motel 6, which I've used for past Coachellas and is much worse quality, cost about twice as much. The venue is only three miles away, which was really convenient. The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave, and a nice flat-screen TV. I also loved the strong shower. Best of all, it was quiet, with no partying or chaos, so we could just sleep when we got back.

The pool was disgustingly dirty, and I won't stay here again. I visit Indio for two or three nights every couple of weeks, but I'll find somewhere else. The railroad tracks are just across the boulevard, and I heard freight trains throughout the night. That noise doesn't bother me. Before checkout I would've given the motel four stars. I stayed November 24, 25, and 26. Frank was wonderful and knew all about the valley's history, and the maid and laundry worker were nice. I asked for a non-smoking room, and mine was marked that way, but it smelled musty. The maid sprayed a sickly floral scent when I asked about odor spray. I opened the windows and drapes and went out for four hours, but the room still smelled bad. It was clean enough for the low price. The mattress and pillows were nice, the shower had plenty of hot water and strong pressure, and the low shower head suited me because I'm short, though taller people may not like it. There was no coffee maker, so I brought instant coffee and a cup and used the microwave. There was a small fridge, and the ice machine took coins. At checkout, a different man was at the desk. I told him people had smoked in my supposedly non-smoking room, but he said that was impossible and argued when I said it stank. When I suggested washing the bedspread, spraying Fabreez on the upholstered chairs, and shampooing the carpet, he got mad at me.
