The Anthem Los Angeles Stadium District, Tapestry by Hilton

I stayed here again last week after first coming a few years ago because it was near the arena. I wasn't especially impressed back then, but the recent changes really stood out. The hotel feels cleaner and much newer, and the pool looks great, though we didn't use it this time. Service was good throughout. I'd rate the stay 9/10, and I'll be back. Kudos to management for the improvements.

After long days of business meetings in El Segundo, the pool and hot tub were a welcome way to unwind. The hotel has an on-site restaurant, market, and pool bar, too. It's modern and immaculate after its recent renovation. Breanna at the front desk was especially helpful and made check-in easy. Valet brought my car around within minutes whenever I needed it. I'll stay here again when I'm in the area. Huge fan.

Being close to the Intuit Dome made getting to our plans easy. That was the one real upside. The rest of the stay was disappointing, and for the price the hotel felt below par. Our room was basic and missing things we needed, including a microwave and a kettle or any way to heat water. The beds felt small and uncomfortable, so sleeping well was difficult. The elevator was cramped, especially with luggage or more than one or two people. At check-in, the teller who helped us, I think her name was Kourtney, seemed unfriendly and disengaged. That gave the stay a bad start. I wouldn't come back unless location were my only concern, and would only suggest it to someone prepared to compromise on comfort, service, and basic amenities.

Carol at the front desk went out of her way to help us sort out a problem that had nothing to do with the hotel. The service was really great. We stayed one night for a concert at the Forum, an easy 15-20 minute walk away, and check-in was simple. The compact hotel has a cute pool, hot tub, bar, and patio in the middle. Our room was clean and modern, with a sound machine, presumably for flight path noise.
