Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Richmond Innsbrook

Bonnie was the real star of this hotel. She handles the morning continental breakfast and was wonderfully hospitable. She jumped in to help a dad who was struggling with his kids’ breakfast, greeted me with a smile each morning, and gave me the weather and a rundown of the menu. She offered to help with my breakfast and with extra towels or water, while keeping her area spotless and constantly tending to it. All the staff greeted us, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable, with the rest of the place clean and well kept. The breakfast included a nice oatmeal bar with lots of toppings, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, quiche, scones, bagels, English muffins, gluten-free muffins, coffee, tea, and juice. If you stay in the Richmond, Short Pump, or Innsbrook area, come meet Bonnie.

Breakfast had limited options, but the front desk staff were very pleasant. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner in a few spots, though I had no other cleanliness complaints. It’s a great choice for a stay in the area.

We stopped in on a whim and the staff were lovely, and managed to find us a room. It was clean, reasonably priced, and breakfast was good. There’s a Sheetz connected to the parking lot, close enough to walk to.

The breakfast attendant is such a cheerful start to the day, and James is a pleasure to see in the mornings, always professional. Erica Cooper really stands out, too. She makes check-in easy and goes out of her way to make sure the stay is just right.
