My sister and I stayed five nights, and the hosts, Frank and Johanne, were delightful, smart, interesting, and accommodating. The other people we met over breakfast were just as lovely. Their company and the comfortable rooms were a welcome relief from the difficult daily work of sorting out our disabled brother's apartment and life. We had tried a standard motel on our previous visit, and it couldn't offer that kind of comfort. Breakfast was both healthy and delicious, and they handled my gluten and milk free diet beautifully. My one small quibble is that I like brighter rooms than most people do. Still, the lighting suits the house's early-American style, and the bathroom is very well lit, which matters. We'll likely be back in Ipswich to keep supporting our brother, and we'll definitely stay here again.

We spent a long weekend here and found the innkeeper welcoming and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, and the location made it easy to get to area attractions. The place has historic charm.

I booked a one-night stay through booking.com, then got a message a month later saying I had to reserve a second night because it was peak season. The message was written with teenage-level grammar. They should have sorted out their booking process themselves, but instead left me to fix the problem. Booking.com eventually found a comparable place nearby. Based on this experience and their refusal to take responsibility, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

There was plenty of space, and the place was clean and friendly. It's close to everything in Ipswich, too. A fantastic place to stay.
