The lake view was beautiful, and Lakeshore Motel was a great small business choice for us since we try to avoid chains. The owners were very friendly, the location was convenient, and the room was clean. The wall heat/AC was quiet and worked well. The mattress was too firm for us, though they have softer options if you mention it at check-in and they’ll try to accommodate you. We’ll definitely return. It’s close to so much of what the UP of Michigan has to offer.

I travel to see family in MN about once a year, and health issues mean I can’t make the whole drive in one day now. After usually stopping in different places around halfway, I’ve found my new regular spot. The room was spotless, the beds and pillows very comfortable, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our stay was perfect. Thanks so much, Bonnie, Mike and staff. I’ll stay here from now on!

The breakfast room had a relaxed, homey feel, and guests chatted easily with each other. The owners were very kind and clearly took care of the grounds and their guests. My room was clean and quiet, and I had a nice lake view. It was convenient and just right for what I needed. Don’t miss this hidden gem. I’ll stay here again when I’m in the area.

We came to visit our/my sister and had a great stay. Lakeshore Motel was much better than the other hotel in town, and the price was very reasonable by comparison. The room was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. Bonnie and her husband, whose name I can’t recall, were helpful and friendly. Even with poor weather, they kept the driveway plowed and walkable through the ice and snow. I highly recommend it and will stay here again when n town.

We stayed in room 32 for a week, and it was cozy and quiet. Mike, Bonnie, and everyone else on staff were friendly and courteous, and the service was great. We’re in the middle of moving to the area, so we’ll be back very soon. Definitely recommend this place!
