Hampton Inn & Suites North Huntingdon-Irwin

We were in town for a wedding when the snowstorm left us stranded. With everything closed, manager Katie and the staff brought out food and snacks for us and did a lot to make the place feel like home. They were warm and helpful throughout. Seeing how they treat guests and each other, they really do seem like one big family. Thank you all!

The accessible bathroom was sturdy and nicely set up, with grab bars by the toilet and a shower seat. You still have to step over the tub edge, though, so it isn't a walk-in shower. Mine had a hair dryer but no microwave. The room was spacious and the place felt clean and safe, with free breakfast included. There are no cameras in the parking lot, but the area seemed extremely safe. The AC was pretty loud. I wouldn't usually mention that, except given the price. My allergies were bad all night, which made me think there might be a lot of dust mites, though I react at every hotel, so I guess it's to be expected.

The room was where I asked for it, away from the elevator and ice machine but still close enough to come and go discreetly. Housekeeping kept it clean and stocked, and checkout was quick. I came to the area for my husband's funeral after he passed unexpectedly, feeling vulnerable and hurt. The staff were considerate and quietly welcoming, which helped me rest and pull myself together for the funeral. At the end, the manager surprised me with a bereavement rate, a real help with my depleted budget. The whole stay went smoothly and let me focus on this major change in my life. It felt like being in a safe, comfortable home. I rarely give a perfect score, but this hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations in every way. I'd rate it higher if I could.

The pool was genuinely warm, and the rooms were very clean. The staff were super friendly and amazing.
